Nokia’s 3310 returns to life as a modern classic

Nokia has sold 126 million of its original 3310 phone since it was first introduced back in September, 2000. It was a time before the iPhone, and Nokia ruled with popular handsets that let you play simple games like Snake. Now the 3310 is making a nostalgic return in the form of a more modern variant, thanks to Nokia-branded phone maker HMD. Like its predecessor, it will still be called the Nokia 3310, but this time it’s running Nokia’s Series 30+ software, with a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 2-megapixel camera, and even a microSD slot.

Those specs are still fairly basic by our modern phone standards, but that’s the beauty of such a basic featurephone. Unlike the brick-like sturdiness of the old 3310, the modern variant is a little smaller, thinner, and lighter all round. It’s also a lot more colorful this time around, with glossy yellow and red colors, and matte grey and dark blue models. It’s instantly recognizable as a Nokia, and HMD has even included a modern Snake game on the handset just to play on the nostalgia.

Opera Mini is bundled for basic web surfing, but the real selling point is battery life. Just like most featurephones, standby time on the Nokia 3310 is 31 days, alongside a talk time of 22 hours. That’s a massive amount of battery life, but as the phone is so basic you’re hardly going to be wasting battery away on Snapchat or Facebook.
HMD is planning to make the new Nokia 3310 available in Q2 this year for 49 euros ($52).

Nokia 2017 Upcoming Android Smartphone

The very famous, Nokia brand has confirmed its relaunch in smartphone industry in 2017. I have made a list of Nokia 2017 upcoming android smartphones, which includes Nokia Edge D1C, E1. However i am not sure that these mobile names are 100% accurate as it may be a rumor.

In 2017 you will see your favourite brand Nokia, fighting for its position in smartphone manufacturing race. So i think, what makes Nokia unique, is its popularity in Asian countries, especially in India.
Nokia was a king  last decade but after the introduction of Android OS, Nokia kept losing its market share. Because of unavailability of hardware production required for android, they were unable to introduce new android powered smartphone. In addition they had to sell their maximum share to Microsoft corporation.

Jio Prime is in, free Jio service ends on March 31: Everything you need to know

The days of free Jio 4G service are numbered. It is going away. Once the Jio Happy New Year expires on March 31, the Jio service will no longer be free. And that means some teething problems for both Jio and Jio users. A lot of people use Jio as a data SIM card because it is free. And it is possible that a lot of these Jio users drop off the network once the Jio 4G is no longer free. Currently, as Reliance Chairman said on Tuesday, Jio has over 100 million users. The challenge for the company now is to retain these users after March 31. This is where the Jio Prime comes in.

While saying that Jio will offer the best data tariff plans in the country that will give users 20 per cent more data compared to what Airtel, Vodafone and others may offer, Mukesh Ambani also highlighted a new Jio plan. This plan is called Jio Prime and it will be available only to a select set of users, at least for now.

If you are trying to figure out what is Jio Prime, worry not. Here we simplify it.

What's is Jio Prime?
Jio Prime is a new Jio plan that will be available after March 31 to Jio users. However, it is also a special plan and will not be available to all.
Who will be eligible for the Jio Prime?
According to Jio boss Mukesh Ambani, the Jio Prime is open to all existing Jio users. After all, the plan is aimed at stopping people from leaving Jio network. This means all the current 100 million Jio users are eligible. Also anyone who joins the Jio network before March 31 will also get to apply for the Jio Prime membership.
Sounds good, what is the cost of Jio Prime?
Jio Prime is a membership, similar to Amazon Prime and it comes with some benefits, but those benefits will cost extra. To start with, Jio Prime membership will cost you Rs 99 for 12 months, which is one year.

And what are the benefits?
The main benefit of the Jio Prime membership is its data plan. If you subscribe to Jio Prime, you will be eligible for a special Jio plan where you will have to pay Rs 303 per month to get the "unlimited". Now this unlimited data is actually FUP-attached plan. The FUP is 1GB data per day at full 4G speed. When the limit is crossed, the speed will reduce. It will go back to full 4G speed after the day is over.
So in other words, at the cost of Rs 303, you will get 30GB 4G data per month. It's not as good as the free data but it's not shabby either. To start with, this tariff will apply on the first 12 months. As far as the tariff after that is concerned, it has not been revealed yet.
Okay, so how do you subscribe to it?

To subscribe to Jio Prime, you can use the My Jio app. Or you can visit any telecom shop or Jio store that is offering Jio SIM. The staff at these stores will enable the Jio Prime membership for you Jio number.

YouTube Go is offline-centric and available now [APK Download]

Even with ever-improving mobile data coverage and an increasing number of WiFi hotspots, it's often still difficult to watch videos anywhere you'd like. This problem is especially prevalent in less-developed countries. Because of this, the YouTube team has created YouTube Go, an app that centers around saving videos to view later.

YouTube Go was first announced back in September of 2016 with a promise that it would become fully public "early next year." Essentially, it's an offline and more social spin on the widely-used YouTube app - video previews load before downloading so that you can decide whether you'd like to watch or download that video, you can select the resolution and see how much space each resolution level will take before saving a video, and you can share your saved videos with friends via Bluetooth transfer.

Judging from our brief interaction with the YouTube Go thus far, it seems to be possible to watch and download most YouTube videos. However, you're restricted to basic or standard quality; no 1080p or even 720p here, folks. During the initial phase, it requires you to enter your phone number and verifies it with a text in order to do some friend-finding later on, which is presumably similar to how Allo and WhatsApp operate. The verification process worked for Artem and Cody without a hitch, but Go refused to allow me to connect, even after multiple tries on multiple devices with multiple phone numbers.

We've got the YouTube Go APK over at APK Mirror; let us know if it works for you. As far as we know, the app is still only official for India.

ISRO satellite launch: Proud moment for India, 104 satellites placed in orbit

ISRO satellite launch: At 9,28 am on Wednesday, PSLV-37 successfully lifted off from the spaceport at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.

  • In about 18 minutes, all 104 satellites were released into space, each travelling at the speed of over 27,000 km per hour - 40 times the speed of an average passenger airline.
  • India's workhorse rocket PSLV-C37 is on its 39th mission. Among the 104 satellites are many belonging to international customers.
  • This is the heaviest version of the PSLV, weighing about 320 tonnes at lift-off and standing tall at 44.4 meters.
  • The main passenger is the Earth-mapping Cartosat 2 series satellite, which weighs 714 kg.
  • The smaller satellites belong to the US, Israel, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates will be launched. 96 of the satellites belong to the US.
  • Close to 90 small satellites named 'Doves' belong to one San Francisco-based company, Planet Inc. The Dove constellation will be used to image the earth at low cost.
  • Two ISRO-made Nano satellites belonging to international customers were also launched. They weigh about 1,378 kg. The PSLV first launched the Cartosat-2 and then its 103 co-passengers into the polar Sun Synchronous Orbit, about 520 km from the Earth.
  • PM Narendra Modi congratulated the scientists for successful launch, saying "this remarkable feat has made India proud".
  • In 2014, the Russian Space Agency has launched 37 satellites in one go.
  • This is ISRO's second successful attempt after the launch of 23 satellites in a single rocket in June 2015.

HOW TO ENABLE COPY PASTE IN CMD – WINDOWS

By Default Windows do not allow users to Copy text and Paste it in Command prompt Or Copy text from Command prompt and paste it elsewhere. But there is an option in CMD itself to enable Copy & Paste Text in Windows Command Prompt.
Today in this tutorial we will learn how to Enable Copying and Pasting Texts in Windows Command prompt. One of the main advantage of this will be that you can copy any command that you find on the internet or from any word/excel file and paste it directly in CMD and execute that command just like that.

Step 1: Open CMD, Just type CMD in search or Press Win + X key to select Command Prompt.
Step 2: Right Click on the Title of the CMD window and Select Properties just like its shown in the below Picture.

Step 3: You will see a Pop up Window coming up, Now on the Right hand side, Under Edit Options, Just Check Quick Edit Mode and click OK
Step 4: Everything is Done, Now just Copy any Text from Here or Anywhere else Using CTRL + C keys and just Right click using your mouse on CMD. You will see that the text is been pasted automatically in CMD. Please Understand that Using CTRL + C to Copy text is Important.
Likewise if you wish to Copy Text from CMD to paste elsewhere then Just Select the Text in CMD and Again just Right Click with the mouse. Your Text is Copied and ready to Paste it in any Document you want.
This Doesn’t Limit you to just Text you can even copy File or Folder path and paste it in CMD. Everything that you have to type manually can be copied from somewhere and pasted directly to CMD with this small Tweak
So this was just a small Tip I wanted to Share with my Readers so that you don’t have to Type any long Command in CMD which if typed incorrectly can cause errors. I hope this will help some Of you.
